For An Understanding S.Korea

과거 한국사회의 문제는 정치 이데올로기 적 갈등이 다수였지만, 그러한 문제들은 나라의 성장을 위한 다양한 노력과 결실들 앞에 어느 정도는 무마되었다고 여겨진다. 하지만, 현재는 이데올로기 적 문제보다 서구의 개인주의와 합리주의식 사고의 지나친 유입과 적용으로, 사회 구성원들 간의 못믿는 풍토내지, 내 집에서만 별 일 없음 신경끈다는 님비현상(Not In My Backyard)이 심화되는 듯 하다.

In the previous years, Korean problems were mainly centered on ideologies, but this got largely solved well thanks to the tremendous tries to grow this poor country and the positive fruits from these efforts. On the contrary, now we are faced with too excessive Western individualism and rationalism and their introduction and application. And due to this, we seem to lose trust to one another and NIMBY (Not In My Backyard ), the idea that nothing matters if it never happenes in my place, gets severer than before.
