유튜브 팝송 촬영을 쉬는 동안, 짬짬이 그간 한류 문화에 대해 주장하고자 했던 바를 쓸까한다.
고 김광석의 이등병의 편지를 들으면 알 수 있는 것은,한국적 군대 문화가 주는 희노애락이라 할 수 있다. 성인식처럼 멀쩡한 남자라면 누구나 징집되어 군대 훈련소에 입영하게 되면, 온가족이 두려움반 걱정반이지만, 제대하면 비로소 남자다운 모습, 책임감있는 모습으로 거듭난다. 이것은, 비록 간헐적인 사고들에도 불구하고, 전국민 교육 기관 역할을 하고 있는 한국식 군대만의 매력이다.
When you hear Kim, Gwang-seok's song, a Private's Letter, you must feel mixed emotions from Korean army style. Every man must be conscripted and entered into the new soldiers' training center first. All the family of him get worried at first. But when he comes back home safe and sound in about 2 years' serving time, he will be more Recognizable & Responsible. So the family get happy. I think that despite some unexpected accidents once in a while, this must the one of the most attractive characteristics you can feel from Korean army style.
