Good morning ladies! Sharing to you my Devo

23 I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own.
    We are not able to plan our own course.
24 So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle.
    Do not correct me in anger, for I would die.

Jer 10:23-24

Message:
Jeremiah was a prophet ordained by God since he was a young boy. God called him to declare his message to the people of Israel, that Israel will be seiged and captured for 70 years.

Many people did not believe his message and some even plotted to kill him.

Many times Gods message is hard to accept because it runs contrary to what we want. We need to start by acknowledging who owns our life. When we realize that our lives are not our own - that we are not owners but simply managers or trustees or stewards of this life, we  ask the maker and the creator what his plans are for our life.

We are not able to plan our own course - meaning we cannot be successful in our plans apart from God. We can plan but God will prevail over our plans. God is ultimately in control of everything

We need Gods correction so that we will not be mislead. So let us allow Him to work in our hearts.

Promise: "For i know the plans i have for you"
Rest assured that God knows his plans for us
Plans for our good and not for disaster
To give us a future and a hope

It was thru Jeremiah that God declared Jer 29:11, words at a time when Israel will be in 70 years captivity but will be set free one day to go back to their land. God knows what he is doing!

Command:
Ask God to direct my paths
Be open to his correction

Warning:
Do not think for a moment that you can plan ur life without seeking God

Application:
I will surrender my life to God and acknowledge my life belongs to Him
I will surrender all my plans to God
I will ask God to correct my ways
I will ask God what is next, what does he want for my life
I will die daily to what i want so that his life will be made alive in me.
