Ukrainian Crisis in Donbass
나는 러시아어를 20여년전에 독학으로 EBS 라디오들으며 몇달 해본 적은 있지만, 익숙치 않은 문자의 난립이란 마치, 십수년전 부산 지하철에서 만났었던, 낯선 한국땅에서 영어선생으로 근무하면서도 심한 고립감과 우울증을 겪어 맥주한잔 같이 해준적 있는 그 미국인의 심정이 된듯 하다.
허나, 요는, 내가 본 전투 후 사진에는, 폭탄을 맞아 다리 없이 아기를 안고 죽어있는 어느 여성의 모습과 주위 널린 시체들이었을 뿐. 우크라니아 친구의 리플의 외침을 느낄만 했다. 크림반도를 둘러싼 러시아와 주변 독립국들의 갈등은 내 알 바 아니나,
집단의 이익추구에 인명이 경시되는 풍조만큼은, 전세계적으로 막아야한다. 내가 샤를리이다(Je Suis Charlie)의 뜻을 잊는다면, 닥터 지바고같은 비극은 계속될 뿐이다.
About 20 years ago, I was focusing on learning Russian language thru EBS Korean education radio, but this sort of unfamiliar sea of words makes me recall an English teacher from the US about 15 years ago. I met him on the Busan city subway and had a beer time with him in order to soothe his isolation and unsatisfaction of S.Korea.
Anyway, the pictures I saw about #Donbass
were the bombed limbless killed woman with her dead baby and the corpses around her. I could fully understand what a Ukrainian friend in VK replied to me in a faraway country, S.Korea.
what I do emphasize about this is not Russia's scheme on controlling Crimea Peninsula but the world's carefulness to keep human being's safety and security.
Certain groups' profit pursuit can't ignore or neglect any individual's life. If we ever forget the true meaning of #Jesuischarlie, the tragedy from Doctor #Zhivago won't stop on earth.
